“They say the goodness in life belongs to those who believe. So, I believe…YES!” Mos Def, “Love”, Black on Both Sides, 1999.
JUSTICE. Good morning Daily Dosers! I hope this message finds all of you rested from the long Labor Day weekend. It was my first weekend in Cambridge. Did I make it? Yes. God is good! In just one week He has had His way in guiding me in directions to meet new people, and experience new things. Friday – while sitting in the cafe – I met two gentlemen. One is from Houston, TX who is getting his Master’s in biotechnology at Harvard. The other is an education professor at Northeastern. They are both really cool brothers who accompanied me to this place called Tavern in Porter Square Saturday night to watch the UGA/Boise game, of which the Dawgs lost :-). A sister I met my first day here walked with me to Whole Foods Saturday morning. It was a long walk. Lots of walking here. Lots and lots of walking. And Sunday, I spent the evening at the home of Drs. Marcyliena Morgan and Larry Bobo. The food was great, the drinks were tasty, and the overall vibe was pleasant and relaxing. Thanks to them both for inviting me.
The reason I’m sharing this with you all this morning is because the details above are really outcomes of me SPEAKING TO THE MOUNTAIN. What am I talking about? Well, remember last week I was quite unsure about this new experience in Cambridge. I only knew it was a great opportunity. I missed my family immensely, and I still do. Asking for guidance, continued protection, and discernment was my constant prayer. Praying was good. Having faith was good too. But, I had to SPEAK TO THE MOUNTAIN of loneliness and fear in order to put that prayer and faith in to action. I had to BELIEVE that The Universe didn’t have me dangling out here by myself in this new place.
The DDR: Look at the lyric above. The “goodness in life belongs to those who believe.” Cross-reference it with Mark 11:23: “I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.” Then cross-check both of these with Matthew 21:21: “Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.” The common theme is BELIEVE. So when you get down on your knees to thank the Universe for its blessings, do you believe? We all waiver, yes. Do you use the power of words and the power of the Word to minimize your mountains to molehills? It’s one thing to pray and have faith. It’s another to command what you’re up against to move out of the way. We all waiver, yes. But today I challenge you to try it. Continue to SPEAK TO YOUR MOUNTAIN. I’m learning that it really really works. Enjoy your Tuesday.

You have really made an impact on your life and most definitely on others. Keep believing in God and his mercy. Because I do; and all things that you striving for will be. This is only the beginning, haa haa and you are doing things that people cannot imagine.

P.s. You would be proud of the “Star Child” and the other two miracles.
